Fremont is known as the home of President Rutherford B. Hayes. The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center is a big tourist attraction. The city is built on the site of a historic Wyandot village. Fremont has the world's largest ketchup factory, and it is one of the city’s biggest employers.

The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums was the first presidential library built. The complex has two parts: the Hayes Mansion and the newer Hayes Museum/Library. Hayes was born in Delaware, Ohio but lived most of his life and died in Fremont. Built in 1916, the museum is funded by private foundations, not the federal government.

The library has books and other materials relating to history from 1850 to 1917, and there is an emphasis on information about Hayes’s presidency from 1877 to 1881. Admission to the library is free, but tickets are required for a tour of the Hayes home.

The Haunted Hydro Haunted House is a multi-themed haunted attraction that is widely regarded as one of the greatest in the state, with terrifying details and incredible thrills! The scar-tacular business opened in 1989 and has been scaring people ever since!

Chateau Tebeau Winery is a vineyard and winery in Helena, Ohio. The winery in Sandusky County was founded by Bob and Mary Tebeau. You'll be greeted by knowledgeable personnel who will show you some of the region's greatest wines.

They have French, American, and fruit wines. The winery has also won awards for its hard cider. It is a great spot to meet up with friends or family to get together and chill with a beautiful bottle of wine from their wide variety.

Parkside Park Miniature Golf Course is a beloved part of the Fremont community. Parkside has two courses, both with 18 holes for a total of 36 holes. Check the website for pricing!

The mini-golf course is right beside I Scream Sprinkles, so you can get ice cream before and after. It is a perfect place to bring some friends and play some good mini-golf!
